What are “custom riding modes” and how do I set them?

The option to purchase the premium features (Premium feature Lock, custom riding modes, Topo range indicator) in the Bosch eBike Connect app shop via Google Play Store or the Apple App Store was discontinued in April 2025.

If you have already purchased the premium features, nothing will change. You can continue to use them as usual.

The custom riding modes premium function allows Nyon owners to set four additional riding modes themselves.

Each of the four riding modes can be individually set up with five speed-dependent reference points. The motor support can be set as a percentage value for each of the reference points. Following the appropriate setup, it is possible to switch between the standard and custom riding modes in the Quick Menu.

While riding, the rider can switch between the custom riding modes in the usual way using the plus and minus buttons on the control unit.

For S-pedelecs, adjusting riding modes is disabled for legal reasons.
